One month to go!

Chris and I have been training well. It amazes me how well he has started riding. He doesn't get in long rides, but he pushes hard when he does. That is helping him to work towards improved endurance.

I am up to about 1400 miles for the year. I feel good for the ride. I have also been getting gear & equipment ready. It is fun to shop "slowly" looking for good deals along the well.

The only thing we need for our bikes is easier gears - once we have them getting over the mountains will be easier!

My "Time Crunched Training Plan" from Chris Carmichael's book has worked well with my travel schedule. I do intense interval sessions in hotel gyms for an hour at a time. Then on the wekeends I can get in my long rides of 30-80 miles.

  1. This is a great idea. Do you intend on writing to during the ride? e.g. at night?

  2. Yes! I plan to connect along the way to post updates. I am not sure it will be daily, but that is the intent.
